Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Firmware professional, you will work with IBM's Z systems to build some of the most secure enterprise systems enabling customers to deploy their applications confidently. Your work will focus on delivering on-premise, customer-managed container solutions through Secure Service Containers offering data protection and defense against insider threats. You will contribute to developing new features for the Dynamic Partition Manager (DPM), a tool designed for quick, easy deployment and management of Linux servers on mainframe systems.
Your key objectives include constructing highly secure Z systems that support application deployment and cloud platforms that defend against cyber threats, while enhancing the ease and speed of enablement experiences.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant industry experience.
- Strong programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
- Solid understanding of Operating System concepts, container technologies, security measures, virtualization management, REST APIs, cloud application development, and DevOps practices including continuous integration.
- Proven experience in cloud application development, container management, and DevOps implementation.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a global team environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Z Systems and private cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Catalog Services and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to storage solutions, networking, and security domains is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is required.
