Role Overview

As a Heavy Equipment Operator at KPC, you will be directly involved in the safe and efficient manipulation of various heavy construction machinery across active project sites. Routine responsibilities include thorough pre-operation equipment inspections, strict adherence to safety and operational protocols, coordination with site management and other workers, alongside conducting basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Operators must precisely follow designated work plans, remain adaptable to site changes, and contribute to meeting project deadlines and quality objectives. This position is primarily on-site in Doha, Qatar, with some flexibility for remote completion of reporting and documentation tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in operating heavy construction machines such as excavators, loaders, and cranes, with a strong emphasis on safety compliance.
• Familiarity with construction site operations, equipment upkeep, and rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Proficiency in interpreting instructions, site drawings, and operational plans, ensuring precise execution.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities for seamless collaboration with supervisors, engineers, and site staff.
• Physical resilience to endure outdoor work environments involving exposure to heat and dust, and the ability to perform physical activities like standing, climbing, and lifting.
• Possession of applicable equipment operator certifications or licenses recognized in Qatar; safety training certifications such as HSE, PPE, and equipment-specific qualifications are highly preferred.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects or partnering with international contractors in Qatar considered an advantage.
• Basic English language proficiency to comprehend work instructions; knowledge of Arabic is an asset but not essential.
