Housing Concierge

About the Role

Join Home Group as a Housing Concierge based in Seacroft, Leeds, working full-time on a 37.5-hour weekly schedule through a 4-week rotating shift pattern, primarily during night hours. This permanent position offers an hourly rate of 13.45 or an annual salary of 26,300 pro rata, with additional sleep-in payments plus attractive benefits such as a Health Cash Plan.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including checking closed-circuit television (CCTV), fire doors, and shared spaces to maintain safety and security.
• Welcome residents and visitors, addressing maintenance issues and cleaning needs when identified.
• Serve as the initial point of assistance for residents during times when the wider support team or personal support networks are unavailable.
• Handle incidents promptly, calmly, and with fairness to ensure residents' well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to address any anti-social behavior effectively.

Candidate Profile

• Ability to remain composed under pressure with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience or passion for providing support to others, whether personal or professional.
• Sound judgement to recognize potential problems early and intervene sensitively to prevent escalation.
• Possession of a vehicle insured for business use is necessary; mileage expenses will be reimbursed by the employer.
• Proficiency in using technology for monitoring CCTV, recording information, and communicating with team members.

Working Conditions

• Work schedule includes night shifts between 9:30 PM and 9:00 AM within a 4-week rolling rota covering Monday to Sunday.
• Daytime meetings and training sessions are regularly held to foster team cohesion and professional development.
• An Enhanced DBS check is required and will be funded by the employer.
