Role overview

Belk is looking for an HRIS Analyst to provide operational and systems support across all store locations. In this role, you will act as a key escalation contact for issue resolution and work as both a developer and Tier 3 support resource within the HRIS team. A major part of the job is making sure service level commitments are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

This role centers on administering HR systems, including configuration, development, and table maintenance in Workday. You will handle advanced support for one or more HRIS platforms, coordinate with vendor representatives, carry out user acceptance testing for system changes, communicate outages or updates to end users, and maintain documentation for processes and procedures.

You will also create job aids for HRIS team members and business users, provide training when needed, monitor transaction volume, accuracy, and timeliness, and suggest improvements that make HR operations more efficient. In addition, you will prepare reports to track performance and completion rates, safeguard highly confidential data, and take on special projects or other assigned duties.

Experience and education

The role requires at least an associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with 4 or more years of relevant experience. Strong hands-on experience with Workday HCM, either as an end user or in system configuration, is required. A basic to intermediate level of Microsoft Office proficiency is also expected. Experience in HR operations and in a customer service setting is part of the background needed for success.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, as is additional Workday experience.

You should bring strong communication and customer service abilities, with the confidence to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
