About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Human Resources Manager to join our manufacturing team located in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area. This full-time, on-site position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will play a vital role as a strategic HR partner to our plant operations, focusing on enhancing employee engagement, refining onboarding and training systems, and leading innovative recruitment efforts targeting technical talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main HR liaison for plant management, supervisors, and production personnel, providing operational HR leadership.
- Manage recruitment campaigns for challenging technical roles such as CNC Machinists, Technicians, and Engineers, employing creative sourcing strategies including collaboration with trade schools, offering sign-on bonuses, and relocation assistance.
- Design and continually improve onboarding processes, employee training modules, promotional pathways, and career advancement frameworks.
- Handle frontline employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits, while backend processes remain managed by the corporate team.
- Foster a positive workplace environment by supporting employee relations, performance management, and effective shop-floor communication.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years’ experience as an HR professional in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven ability to recruit for specialized and hard-to-fill technical and blue-collar positions utilizing unconventional sourcing methods.
- Experience in creating or enhancing structured onboarding and staff development programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills capable of establishing trust at all levels of plant operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in recruiting for CNC machining or machine shop environments.
- Understanding of ISO 13485 standards or experience within a medical device quality system.
