Role Overview
Valence Surface Technologies is hiring an Information Technology Infrastructure Manager to lead enterprise infrastructure operations, strengthen resilience, and support business growth across multiple sites. This position focuses on keeping core IT services reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the annual operating budget for infrastructure, monitor spend closely, and build business cases for major upgrades.
- Create, update, and enforce standards, procedures, and policies for infrastructure functions.
- Own disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including execution of related actions when needed.
- Oversee a 24/7 enterprise support model, identify recurring problems, lead root-cause analysis, and drive corrective improvements.
- Support IT infrastructure work tied to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Technical and Functional Experience
- Strong background in networking, servers, virtual machine environments, workstations/PCs, and enterprise and desktop software.
- Ability to build infrastructure strategies that support business priorities, capacity growth, and adoption of new technologies.
- Experience creating and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks.
- Capability to manage vendors for hardware, software, and services, including negotiation and performance oversight.
- Experience handling infrastructure budgets and balancing capital investments with ongoing operating costs.
- Project management skills to plan, coordinate, and deliver infrastructure initiatives on schedule and within budget.
- Working understanding of Controlled Unclassified Information, NIST 800-171 controls, and practical cybersecurity policy implementation.
- Clear communication skills for working with stakeholders at all levels and with external suppliers.
- Ability to convert business needs and operational issues into technical IT requirements.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in MIS or Computer Science.
- At least 7 years of professional IT experience.
- At least 3 years of experience managing IT infrastructure and leading IT teams.
- Experience supporting multiple sites, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- ITIL and PMP certifications are preferred.
Location and Compensation
This role is available in Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA, or Wichita, KS. The listed salary range is $125,000 to $145,000 annually, plus a 10% bonus under the Management Incentive Plan.
