About the Role
TCA Architects seeks an Intermediate Architectural Designer in Los Angeles to contribute to innovative solutions addressing the housing shortage. The company specializes in high-density multi-family housing, hospitality, and mixed-use developments with a focus on sustainable, community-sensitive designs recognized by industry awards. Founded in 1993 with multiple studios across California and Hawaii, TCA prides itself on collaborative and environmentally conscious projects.
Responsibilities
- Utilize design expertise to develop creative architectural solutions for challenging urban sites.
- Contribute to concept sketches and design development using SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Suite in a fast-paced setting.
- Collaborate closely with team members, firm leadership, and clients to clearly present design ideas and proposals.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of architectural experience, including 2 to 3 years focused on multi-family residential design.
- Advanced skills in exterior elevation design and form development.
- Proficient with SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Suite software platforms.
- Strong ability in both manual sketching and computer modeling for architectural concepts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture is mandatory.
- Candidate ideally progressing toward architectural licensure.
Work Environment and Location
Position is based in TCA’s downtown Los Angeles office with a hybrid work schedule allowing three days onsite and remote work on Thursdays and Fridays. The office is located near vibrant urban amenities and accessible public transit.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $38.50 to $43.00, equating to approximately $80,080 to $89,440 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, 401K, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation time, paid time off, bonus opportunities, and flexible scheduling, including early leave on Fridays.
