Investment Banking Analyst & Associate - M&A Coverage Group

About the Role

We are collaborating with a leading global Tier-1 investment bank based in Frankfurt that has significantly expanded its German presence over the last 18 months. The bank is currently recruiting multiple analysts and associates for its M&A Coverage Team. This team offers the chance to contribute to complex M&A transactions within a growing German business unit and to become a part of a top-tier investment banking platform over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in executing both buy-side and sell-side M&A deals
• Develop financial models, conduct company valuations, and prepare investment cases
• Create high-quality client presentations and transaction-related documents
• Collaborate closely with senior bankers on structuring, negotiating, and executing transactions
• Manage individual workstreams and actively contribute within a lean deal team

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance
• Industry experience in industrials is advantageous but not mandatory
• Proven track record of managing M&A execution through all transaction phases
• Strong expertise in financial modelling and valuation techniques
• Candidates from Big 4 lead advisory teams are also welcome
• Ability to independently manage workstreams and take responsibility within small teams
• Entrepreneurial mindset, excellent analytical skills, and a methodical approach to work
• Confident demeanor combined with strong communication and presentation skills
