Position Overview

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team at the Mississauga, Ontario location. This role involves advanced troubleshooting and daily maintenance support primarily for the surfacing and finishing departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced troubleshooting and maintenance for surfacing and finishing equipment
  • Provide network, technology, and PC support ensuring the seamless operation of networks across all company locations
  • Offer helpdesk assistance to internal users throughout Canada
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure business needs are met
  • Provide emergency on-call support as necessary
  • Support and maintain the Business Enterprise System, particularly DVI, offering subject matter expertise to staff
  • Conduct routine reporting duties
  • Continuously enhance and share technical knowledge by interacting with suppliers, facility supervisors, and managers as well as through professional development activities
  • Keep the IT knowledge base updated by leveraging industry networks, associations, and inter-company resources

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum two years hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016 and newer, Windows 10/11, and DOS environments
  • At least two years experience in Windows networking and connectivity
  • Proven experience with Android and iOS device management for a minimum of two years
  • Experience in setup, troubleshooting, and repair of laser printers extending over two years
  • Demonstrated ability in remote support tasks
  • Proficiency in handling and validating standard XML files

Educational Background

  • Post-secondary degree required
  • Certification such as CompTIA A+ and Network+ or equivalent qualifications
