About the Role
DigitalScript is seeking a motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join our finance team at the Berlin office. This entry-level position offers recent graduates and early-career professionals the chance to enhance their skills in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, contributing actively to strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Analyze financial data to recognize trends and provide meaningful insights supporting business decisions.
- Support activities related to budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning.
- Build financial models and conduct variance and profitability analyses.
- Track critical financial performance indicators, identifying potential risks and growth opportunities.
- Participate in cost and revenue analyses and assess operational performance.
- Ensure the accurate reconciliation of financial records and reports.
- Perform market, competitor, and industry research to inform financial planning.
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, and business units to gather and verify financial data.
- Assist with audit processes and maintain compliance with internal financial policies.
- Manage financial databases, spreadsheets, and reporting documentation diligently.
- Stay updated on evolving financial regulations, accounting standards, and market trends.
Candidate Requirements
- Fundamental understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, and analytical techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced features like PivotTables, formulas, charts, and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent numerical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic experience or knowledge in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis is beneficial.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Preferred educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines. Progress toward professional certifications like CFA Level I, ACCA, or CPA is advantageous.
