Junior Scientist

Overview

This role is based in New York and requires onsite work. The Junior Scientist will conduct laboratory experiments to support scientific research, product development, and technical inquiries. The primary focus involves hands-on use of analytical and characterisation methods, contributing to data collection, methodology improvement, and resolving technical challenges. Unlike laboratory assistants, this position entails executing and interpreting scientific protocols while collaborating closely with research leaders to guide project decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory experiments according to established scientific procedures aligned with research and development goals.
• Prepare and analyse samples using relevant instruments and techniques with precision.
• Maintain detailed documentation of experimental methods, findings, and observations adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and internal protocols.
• Work cooperatively with scientific staff and project members to solve operational issues and interpret results effectively.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in laboratory instrumentation and techniques pertinent to the respective scientific area.
• Capability to meticulously follow and adjust scientific protocols as required.
• Excellent skills in documenting experiments and interpreting scientific data.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities within multidisciplinary groups.

Eligibility and Education

Candidates should have a degree in scientific disciplines such as Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields with 0-2 years of professional experience.
