About the Role

As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll engage in creating, maintaining, and enhancing software applications using AI, automation, and modern methodologies. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in collecting and refining product requirements and user stories.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including designing, coding, testing, and deploying full stack applications integrating UI, APIs, and data layers.
- Engage in code and design peer reviews to ensure solution quality.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production incidents and service requests.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to devise creative, effective technology solutions.
- Contribute to embedding AI features within applications utilizing generative AI APIs and machine learning models.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
- Exposure to software development or AI/ML through internships or academic projects.
- Proven ability to rapidly acquire new competencies and deliver high-quality software demonstrated via academic or project experience.
- Competency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or COBOL.
- Basic grasp of software design principles, coding standards, and database concepts, including design and development.
- Understanding of secure coding methods and automated testing fundamentals.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of AI/ML related technologies including prompt engineering, large language model APIs (e.g., Azure OpenAI), AI SDKs and frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, Semantic Kernel).
- Experience or interest in responsive UI/UX design, microservices versus monolithic architectures, containerization, and working with relational and NoSQL databases.
Work Arrangement and Compensation
This position is based on a hybrid model requiring at least three days a week onsite at the Bridgewater, NJ location. The salary range for this role is $64,100 to $83,000 annually. Eligible candidates may also receive annual performance bonuses and stock-based long-term incentives, depending on plan terms.
