Junior Test Engineer

About the Role

As part of the Aerospace & Defence division, you will engage in testing, validation, and verification of aeronautical systems, contributing to advanced high-technology projects with multidisciplinary teams and notable clients. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and prototyping teams to help define specifications and test plans.
• Conduct various tests on aeronautical systems, including structural, environmental, vibrational, and functional tests, initially under supervision.
• Interpret and analyze test data to support validation activities.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation and detailed test reports.
• Support the coordination of technical activities involving external suppliers.
• Participate in improving testing methodologies and tools, with opportunities to work on automation and data analytics.

Candidate Requirements

• Academic qualification in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Fundamental understanding of test engineering concepts acquired through academic coursework, thesis projects, or equivalent experiences.
• Knowledge of test plans, test specifications, and testing procedures.
• Theoretical familiarity with diverse test types such as structural, environmental, vibrational, and functional.
• Basic competence in analyzing measurement data.
• Experience or familiarity with measurement instruments and test setups.
• Strong interest in the aviation and aerospace sectors, including certification processes.
• Programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience range: 0 to 2 years.

Desirable Qualifications

• Brief exposure to industrial environments or aerospace-related projects.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools or additional programming languages.
• An enthusiasm for test automation technologies.

Contract and Compensation Details

• Type of contract: Permanent employment under German regulations.
• Salary range: 54000 to 70000 Euros annually.
• Employment status: Full-time.
• Work arrangement: Hybrid, based in Germany.
• The final salary package will be determined during recruitment, according to the candidate's qualifications and in line with IG Metall collective agreements.
