Position Overview
They are seeking hardworking, optimistic individuals interested in skill development and career growth. Reporting to the Team Leader, the Labourer will perform a range of tasks to support production and facility operations at the Hamilton site.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and interpret work orders accurately.
- Load and unload trailers in compliance with Walters’ standards.
- Sort sheet metal, various parts, scrap metal, and other materials appropriately.
- Use hand tools to remove excess metal by cutting, grinding, or chipping as needed.
- Carry out specific project-related duties as assigned.
- Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with material handling within the plant using cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations and practices.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Flexible mindset to adjust and prioritize tasks as needed.
- Excellent time management and solid work ethic.
