Having assisted over 40,000 patients and growing at five times annually, Honeydew is rapidly expanding its impact.
Role Overview
As Honeydew grows, the efficiency and speed at which providers secure and maintain licenses play a crucial role in scaling the business. This role involves maintaining all current licenses without lapse, managing vendor partnerships, and overseeing the entire licensing process for providers seeking credentials in new states.
First Six Months Objectives
- Implement a renewal tracking system ensuring zero license lapses with renewals initiated at least 90 days prior to expiry.
- Accelerate the new-state licensing process by identifying delays and optimizing procedures.
- Take full responsibility for provider licensing, significantly reducing escalation cases to leadership by effectively managing renewals, new applications, and communication with licensing boards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor expiration dates across all licensed states per provider, submit renewal applications timely, and ensure compliance with continuing education prerequisites.
- Manage the entire new license application cycle including collecting necessary documents like diplomas, DEA registrations, malpractice insurance, and background checks; liaise with state boards until approval.
- Serve as the main contact for the licensing vendor (Zivian) and communicate directly with state licensing authorities to resolve issues and prevent delays.
- Maintain a dynamic record system reflecting real-time licensing statuses, alerting leadership of potential compliance risks well in advance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years managing multi-state licensing or credentialing operations involving 50+ active licenses in at least 10 states with an extremely low lapse rate.
- At least two years overseeing vendor or agency relationships, ensuring accountability for service level agreements and deliverables.
- Experience corresponding directly with state regulatory boards across a minimum of five states.
- Attention to detail in handling numerous deadlines, documentation, and requirements simultaneously without missing any critical items.
- Proven skills in process and vendor management to own end-to-end workflows effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication tailored to diverse state board protocols and expectations.
- Familiarity with state nursing boards’ licensing regulations and experience with the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in multi-state licensing environments is preferred.
Ideal Candidate Traits
- Self-motivated individual able to prioritize autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Highly analytical, organized, and passionate about continuous process enhancement and efficiency gains.
- Comfortable performing detailed, repetitive administrative work associated with document collection and compliance tracking.
- Accountable for complete ownership of vendor relationships and internal processes without needing detailed guidance.
Why Honeydew?

- Impactful work that directly enables uninterrupted patient care via up-to-date provider licenses.
- Comprehensive compensation including competitive salary, equity, health benefits, flexible fully remote work environment, and employee perks and recognition programs.
Recruitment Process
