Logistics Manager

Position Overview

NovaHub Myanmar seeks an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and refine the transportation, warehousing, distribution, and delivery functions. This role involves managing logistics personnel, coordinating shipment operations, evaluating transportation metrics, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring timely, safe delivery of goods. Collaboration with procurement, supply chain, warehouse teams, finance, suppliers, carriers, and customers is key to maintaining seamless, cost-effective logistics performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics processes including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Formulate and execute logistics strategies tailored to business goals and customer needs.
• Lead, train, and develop teams across logistics, warehouse, transportation, and distribution.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, freight movement, and transport scheduling.
• Maintain strong partnerships with freight carriers, transport providers, suppliers, and external service agents.
• Track delivery efficiency, transport costs, service levels, and logistics KPIs.
• Streamline routes, delivery planning, warehouse workflow, and distribution networks to reduce costs and boost operational productivity.
• Ensure precise inventory handling, stock transfers, shipment paperwork, and delivery records.
• Supervise warehouse operations such as storage management, loading/unloading, and material handling.
• Address issues like delivery delays, transport problems, damaged goods, and inventory inconsistencies.
• Develop plans for risk mitigation and disruption reduction within supply chains.
• Enforce compliance with safety standards, transport regulations, company policies, and industry requirements.
• Manage budgets covering logistics operations, transport expenses, freight costs, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics activities with corporate objectives.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards detailing logistics performance, cost analysis, and forecasts for leadership.
• Implement and utilize logistics technologies including Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Identify and pursue automation, process enhancement, cost efficiency, and service quality improvements.
• Stay informed on emerging logistics trends, technologies, sustainability efforts, and industry best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement programs to elevate delivery accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements

• Solid expertise in logistics management covering transportation, warehousing, distribution, and supply chains.
• Proven track record managing logistics teams, transport providers, warehouse operations, and third-party partnerships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with freight handling, scheduling deliveries, managing inventory movement, and logistics metrics.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Budget management experience related to logistics costs, supplier contracts, and expenditure control.
• Proficiency in logistics-related software tools including TMS, WMS, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with platforms like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite is a plus.
• Deep understanding of key logistics performance indicators and data-driven operational improvements.
• Knowledge of transportation laws, workplace safety, and logistics compliance protocols.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt swiftly to operational changes or disruptions.
• Commercially savvy with a focus on cost optimization, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
