Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

Join St. Regis Hotels & Resorts as a Maintenance Technician based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by promptly addressing repair requests and maintaining hotel facilities in excellent condition. This role requires responding to guest maintenance needs, performing preventive upkeep, and ensuring operational reliability throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Address guest repair requests effectively and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance concerns.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication tasks.
• Perform visual inspections of tools, machinery, and equipment to identify any issues.
• Carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios during work shifts.
• Operate and locate shut-off valves for equipment and building utilities as needed.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and place requisitions when required.
• Communicate daily activities and any problems to subsequent shifts following established communication procedures.
• Demonstrate or quickly learn basic knowledge in areas including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood repairs, light bulb and air conditioner filter replacements, ensuring thorough cleaning of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and plumbing, including unclogging drains, repairing electrical fixtures, and maintaining guestroom items.
• Handle programming of televisions and manage housekeeping and engineering inventory duties.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout safety procedures before maintenance operations.
• Maintain and repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Enter schedules and make temperature adjustments using basic computer skills.
• Adhere to company safety and security policies, report maintenance issues or hazards promptly, complete safety training, and store hazardous materials safely.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets while delivering excellent guest service consistent with brand standards.
• Foster positive workplace relationships, support team objectives, and communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds and navigating stairs, ramps, and ladders as part of routine duties.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Some experience in general maintenance, including painting and surface preparation, preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is an advantage but not required.
• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
