Manager - Production

Role Overview

This position is for a Production Manager based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area, responsible for ensuring that manufacturing activities run smoothly and that all production-related systems, documents, and support areas are in place before and during batch execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Check that the required instruments and equipment are fully prepared for use in the process area.
• Confirm the presence of all necessary raw materials, consumables, and accessories before a batch begins.
• Draft, examine, and update SOPs and EOPs related to processes, equipment, and the production area.
• Create and carry out qualification and validation protocols for processes, equipment, and facilities.
• Compile and review documentation for process, equipment, area qualification, and validation activities.
• Prepare, examine, and manage Batch Production Records.
• Raise requests for BPRs and handle their issuance.
• Develop, review, and execute study protocols as required.
• Ensure downstream zones and supporting spaces such as corridors and washing areas are prepared for manufacturing work.
• Maintain stable shop-floor operations throughout manufacturing campaigns.
• Initiate and review change controls and deviations whenever needed.
• Manage SAP-based activities connected to processing and maintenance.
• Run downstream equipment and support CIP/SIP operations.

Experience and Qualification

The role calls for 11 to 16 years of relevant experience. A postgraduate qualification is expected, such as M.Sc. or B.Tech, with B.Tech in Biotechnology or Biochemistry specifically mentioned.
