About the Role

The role is designed to uphold the reliability and integrity of all mechanical machinery within the plant by managing predictive and preventive mechanical maintenance activities. The position ensures equipment availability while complying with company policies, safety standards, and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily mechanical maintenance while strictly adhering to established policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to maintain consistent and controlled work practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in mechanical maintenance to drive continuous system and process improvements.
  • Assist in formulating daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in collaboration with Production, Technology, and CES teams.
  • Develop resource plans aligned with maintenance schedules to manage routine mechanical upkeep and planned shutdowns effectively.
  • Gather mechanical discipline data for performance monitoring, generate reports highlighting KPI achievements, initiate corrective actions, and report escalations to lead maintenance.
  • Create and manage inventory control plans for mechanical spare parts, establish approvals, handle spares issuance for jobs, and support procurement by coordinating with vendors, purchasing, and stores.
  • Support budgeting processes related to mechanical maintenance and analyze expenditures to promote efficient use of resources.
  • Supervise and execute mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards with timely completion.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize production and quality disruptions.
  • Evaluate equipment conditions and monitor performance trends to detect irregularities and implement corrective measures to improve equipment availability.
  • Carry out scheduled preservation activities to sustain functionality and equipment availability.

  • Coordinate with workshop teams for repair activities to assure prompt maintenance completion.
  • Support minor project execution as required.
  • Uphold workplace safety by complying with relevant safety, fire, and environmental regulations and processes.
  • Monitor plant machinery for safety, fire, and environmental hazards, conduct root cause analysis, and implement appropriate mitigation.
  • Investigate safety incidents with safety teams, develop action plans, and execute measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist emergency response operations during safety or fire incidents for rapid resolution.
  • Prepare audit documentation, assist in audits, and help implement recommended corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to audit schedules and corrective actions.
  • Support compliance with mandatory health, safety, and environmental training requirements and contribute to fostering a safe workplace culture.

Educational Qualifications
