Role Overview
In response to growth and investment, we seek a Mechanical Project Manager who is proactive and possesses strong leadership capabilities to predict challenges and implement contingency plans effectively. Our core values emphasize integrity, excellence, and building trust among clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all facets of assigned projects, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure project adherence to client requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Utilize Leo Lynch project management systems to monitor progress and ensure team compliance.
- Facilitate effective teamwork across all departments such as BIM, Engineering, QA, and Procurement by promptly addressing issues.
- Conduct frequent site visits and inspections to supervise progress, solve problems, and enforce safety and quality standards.
- Build and sustain beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, handling contract negotiations as necessary.
- Manage project finances including cost control, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Ensure all operations comply with applicable laws, codes, and health and safety regulations.
- Implement structures for budget monitoring, review, and control of expenditures.
- Apply cost and value management techniques and generate accurate, timely commercial reports for senior management.
- Collaborate with Directors and Site Managers to advise on strategic decisions, identify risks, and resolve issues.
- Provide weekly project status updates to clients and engineering managers.
- Deliver monthly progress reports to Senior Management and Directors.
- Work in close partnership with senior leadership to support ongoing business objectives.
- Encourage constructive relationships between internal teams and external clients.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Mechanical Engineering degree or a related qualification.
- More than five years’ experience in project or contracts management in commercial, industrial, or healthcare construction environments, along with five years as a mechanical project engineer.
- Extensive background working with mechanical contractors.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and process systems, encompassing design, installation, and operation.
- Demonstrates excellent abilities in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building and managing client, supplier, and subcontractor relationships.
- Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently and performing well under pressure.
- Willingness to occasionally travel within Europe.
- Holds a full, valid driving license.
