Barry-Wehmiller International Private Limited is hiring a Plumbing Design Engineer in Chennai. The position focuses on designing mechanical plumbing-related systems for building projects, with an emphasis on HVAC, fire fighting, and sprinkler layouts.
Key responsibilities
- Develop plumbing and related mechanical system designs, including HVAC, fire fighting, and sprinkler systems, using Revit MEP.
- Carry out technical calculations for pipe sizing, pressure loss, and flow rates to support efficient system operation.
- Work with other engineering teams to help ensure the design aligns with applicable building codes and regulatory standards.
- Create detailed drawings and technical specifications for construction use.
Requirements
- Applicants should have 5 to 15 years of experience in plumbing design engineering or a closely related area.
- Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit MEP for mechanical design work such as HVAC and plumbing is required.
- A solid grasp of fire protection concepts and fire fighting systems is needed.
- The role calls for the ability to handle advanced calculations related to pipe sizing, pressure drop, and flow rates.
