Principal Program Manager

Job Overview

The High Performance Compute (HPC) group is searching for a seasoned Program Manager to join the Program Management Office. This team governs the new product introduction process, intellectual property flows, third-party interactions, and collaborates with various stakeholders to implement change initiatives and foster continuous enhancements both within HPC and the wider organization. The team also provides a unified perspective on execution efforts, serving as a key point for escalation and resolving cross-portfolio challenges globally including teams in Japan, India, Vietnam, and the United States.

Role Responsibilities

• Clarify expected results and deadlines, clearly communicate objectives to the team and partners to ensure coordinated and successful outcomes.
• Assume complete ownership of assigned projects while engaging with executive leaders from Renesas and partner organizations.
• Develop, lead, and maintain a comprehensive program roadmap with consistent progress reports delivered to stakeholders internally and externally.
• Set and monitor milestones, anticipate risks, and devise mitigation strategies with clear triggers and contingency plans.
• Facilitate regular team meetings to propel program advancement and prepare data-driven status updates for diverse audiences.
• Guide cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations for successful program execution.
• Manage budgets vigilantly and communicate any deviations from the financial plan.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements in partnership with senior leaders.

Qualifications and Skills

• Over 10 years of experience managing complex, large-scale global programs within the semiconductor or high-tech industries.
• Comprehensive knowledge of full product development cycles including technical milestones, commercial reviews, and risk evaluations.
• A commitment to continuous improvement in work processes, policies, and methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead diverse multidisciplinary teams across various cultures and time zones effectively.
• Strong analytical abilities to identify root causes and swiftly address issues.
• Proactive problem anticipation and ownership to maintain steady progress and issue resolution.
• Determination and follow-through to ensure comprehensive project execution.
• Capacity to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

The position offers an annual salary range from $200,000 to $260,000, with eligibility for bonuses. Actual compensation will be determined by location, experience, and skills.
