Position Overview
The role of Private Capital Markets (PCM) Associate within our Global Equity Capital Markets & Solutions platform offers an exciting opportunity to support the health and growth of private companies worldwide by advising and facilitating capital raising efforts. The PCM team collaborates with Deutsche Bank’s diverse Industry, Country, and Product groups to deliver outstanding execution and aid dynamic companies and their leadership throughout significant stages of their development.
Based in London with a corporate Associate title, the position entails assisting in the daily operations of the PCM business. It encompasses a broad scope but primarily focuses on assisting in sourcing and executing equity and equity-linked financing deals, especially capital raising initiatives for innovative technology companies ranging from Series B to pre-IPO funding rounds. The role also covers structuring equity-based solutions for mature firms across various sectors. As an Associate, you will play a vital role in developing proposals and managing transaction execution, involving considerable responsibility and client contact from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end execution of complex equity-related transactions, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders internally and externally.
- Support business origination efforts by recognizing promising investment opportunities and expanding networks with investors and management teams.
- Apply extensive financial modeling expertise, including three-statement models, operating models, discounted cash flow analyses, capitalization tables, and liquidation waterfalls, to provide rigorous analysis and evaluate investment terms critically.
- Lead the creation of impactful marketing materials and transaction documents tailored to senior clients and ongoing processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in venture capital, private equity, telecommunications, media & technology corporate finance, or mergers & acquisitions is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven success in executing transactions coupled with strong project management skills.
- Ability to perform efficiently under pressure, managing large, diverse teams to deliver pitches and close transactions effectively.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with strong financial modeling capabilities.
- A proactive, self-driven individual demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and team collaboration.
- An expressed interest in emerging industries, technology trends, and the broader venture capital and startup ecosystem.
