About the Company

Emirates Electrical Engineering, under this group, specializes in delivering turnkey solutions for solar rooftop projects and electrical power projects including High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks, and Transmission Lines.
Job Purpose
This role involves analyzing material requisitions for multiple projects, identifying suitable suppliers, negotiating effective pricing, and managing logistics to ensure delivery. Additionally, the role includes overseeing inventory levels according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement of materials, equipment, labor hire, subcontracting, and services for project sites following company policies.
- Obtain, assess, and recommend supplier quotations to senior purchase officers.
- Issue orders to suppliers and track timely delivery of materials and services to project locations.
- Keep precise and current records of procurement transactions and inventory.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure product quality and punctual delivery.
- Collaborate with Divisional, Project, and Site Managers to understand and fulfill material and service needs for various sites.
- Identify potential cost-saving measures and report findings to supervisors.
- Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, quantities, as well as regulatory and legal requisites.
- Build and nurture robust relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to enhance procurement experiences.
- Continuously assess and optimize the procurement process to boost efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Perform any additional tasks as directed by senior purchasing management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduation preferably in Commerce or Diploma in Engineering.
- Supply chain certification is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in MEP project material procurement within construction or contracting companies.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly the MM module; SAP knowledge is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications.
- Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Understanding of construction materials, equipment, and supply chain processes.
- Competent in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
