About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Production Planning Manager to join our team located in Oranmore, County Galway. This full-time position offers a chance to enhance your career within a dynamic production planning setting. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily scheduling duties of the Production Planning Team.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development guidance to team members.
- Implement ongoing process improvements targeting productivity enhancement, planning precision, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate effectively with Design, Production, Site teams, and external suppliers to address queries and requirements.
- Examine production metrics to detect bottlenecks and propose optimization strategies.
- Modify schedules responsively to manage unexpected delays, equipment failures, or urgent job demands.
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure materials are available on time.
- Maintain detailed records of production output, downtime, and capacity utilization.
- Promote interdepartmental cooperation and teamwork.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior management experience is preferred.
- Experience in production planning, particularly in manufacturing or construction materials sectors.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Project Management and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with planning software such as ERP systems and scheduling tools.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain dynamics and manufacturing workflows.
- Strong analytical capability with keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Numerical proficiency and excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Capacity to manage pressure and adjust priorities dynamically.
- Self-motivated with strong critical thinking and initiative-taking qualities.
