About LSPA
The LSP Association (LSPA) is a nonprofit organization representing Massachusetts Licensed Site Professionals and environmental practitioners who manage assessment and cleanup of oil and hazardous materials releases. Since 1993, LSPA has brought over 40,000 contaminated properties into regulatory compliance. The association supports members with educational programs, networking, advocacy with regulatory bodies, and resources focused on maintaining high standards in environmental remediation across Massachusetts and New England.
Role Overview
The Program & Events Coordinator is essential to LSPA's operations, acting as a key liaison for members, volunteers, and sponsors. This role involves planning and executing educational courses, networking occasions, and managing the sponsorship program while delivering excellent customer service to all stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, organize, and oversee various LSPA programs including courses, meetings, professional events, and annual gatherings, with 1-3 events monthly ranging from 25 to 250 attendees; approximately 65% of events are virtual.
- Handle all event logistics for in-person events, such as venue sourcing, contracts, catering, setup, AV, billing reconciliation, and onsite coordination; manage virtual event technology, monitor participation, and facilitate speaker training and event moderation.
- Administer continuing education by compiling materials, submitting for credit approvals with relevant boards, maintaining attendance and engagement records, and issuing certificates; participate in monthly registration board meetings.
- Manage sponsorship programs including prospectus updating, invoicing, maintaining contact lists, outreach, and ensuring sponsors receive their benefits.
- Respond to inquiries through organizational channels; provide customer support to members and partners; attend meetings as needed; assist with general operations and special projects.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in event/program planning or project management in a similar environment.
- Exceptional communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Detail-focused project management with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines independently.
- Strong relationship building and professional communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, Zoom Meetings/Webinars, association/member management systems, and online registration/evaluation platforms; familiarity with Canva is a plus.
- Preferred but not required: nonprofit, environmental science industry experience, sponsorship management knowledge, and relevant academic qualifications.
Benefits and Work Environment
- Annual salary between $70,000 and $80,000 based on qualifications and experience.

- Fully remote role with candidates preferably residing in New England; travel to Massachusetts events 10–12 times per year required.
