Role Overview
The Inventory Optimization team focuses on maximizing value for Roku's ad platform, particularly in programmatic advertising. This role, based in New York and reporting to the Sr Manager of Inventory Enablement and Optimization, collaborates closely with Client Services, Business Development, Sales, and Product teams to enhance yield, forecast performance, and build systems supporting advertising campaigns. This is an opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing revenue stream within Roku's programmatic business.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain and maintain deep insight into Roku’s programmatic advertising ecosystem, partner integrations, and recommend integration improvements to boost yield.
- Analyze the programmatic advertising stack from bid level through impressions and spend patterns to monitor partner health and performance, updating stakeholders on trends.
- Quickly identify and troubleshoot issues through report analysis to ensure smooth operations.
- Utilize Roku’s Big Data to generate actionable programmatic business reports and automate routine analyses where feasible.
- Work with Product Management to create specialized tools addressing inventory management challenges across direct and programmatic transactions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Ad Operations, and Finance to align programmatic strategies with wider business priorities.
- Track and assess KPIs for programmatic campaigns, providing ongoing updates and optimization recommendations.
- Present insights and findings to stakeholders through dashboards, presentations, and custom reports.
- Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities to pinpoint growth and innovation opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over five years of relevant experience in digital advertising, including roles in inventory, revenue operations, data analysis, finance, or business analysis.
- Strong communication skills capable of clearly explaining complex topics to varied audiences.
- Understanding of advertising technology terminology and ecosystem, with experience working alongside DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, and DMPs; familiarity with OTT/CTV is a bonus.
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL, accompanied by experience handling large datasets.
- Competent in generating reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
- Analytical mindset with excellent project management and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-moving, expanding company.
Employment Details and Benefits
This full-time position is based in New York with a hybrid work schedule: primarily in-office Monday through Thursday and flexible remote work on Fridays. The estimated salary range is $140,000 to $150,000 annually, subject to individual qualifications, certifications, and location-specific factors.
