About Alpine Business Consulting
Alpine Business Consulting specializes in restoring and optimizing enterprise performance management and reporting systems that have become ineffective. Many businesses invest significantly in intricate planning tools only to experience implementation issues leading to unreliable data and prolonged month-end closings. Alpine Business Consulting intervenes by reconfiguring these systems or developing new ones from scratch, delivering a trustworthy single source of truth for companies.
Role Overview
We are currently engaged in a significant reporting system overhaul for a prominent German industrial manufacturer and seek a full-time Project Coordinator Intern to support this initiative remotely. This position is ideal for individuals who are well-organized, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining insight into the internal management of complex consulting projects.
Working closely with senior consultants, you will ensure the project remains on schedule and documentation is thorough. While expertise in Oracle EPM or SAP BPC is not necessary, maintaining organized project operations is crucial. Given our fully remote setup, clear written communication and effective collaboration in digital environments are essential.
Responsibilities
- Document technical requirements and action items during project meetings with the industrial client.
- Maintain and update project timelines to ensure deadlines for data migration and system testing are met.
- Assist in preparing configuration guides and training manuals for the project's final handover phase.
- Organize project files and datasets to provide the consulting team immediate access to up-to-date information.
- Track progress of month-end close simulations to verify system performance.
- Alert internal team members about potential obstacles or schedule delays.
- Review and edit project documentation for clarity, simplifying language by removing jargon and unnecessary complexity.
Candidate Profile
- Current student or recent graduate in Business, Project Management, IT, or a related discipline.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple small tasks without losing focus.
- Proficient in spreadsheets and common office productivity software for tracking and reporting.
- Clear and direct communicator in both written and virtual meeting contexts.
- Reliable and self-motivated to work independently within a fully remote team environment.
- Interested in understanding the construction and maintenance of large-scale financial systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail when handling project documentation and data logs.
Benefits and Work Culture
This position is a full-time, paid internship providing substantial practical experience. The compensation is competitive relative to current market internships. Interns will collaborate directly with experienced consultants, offering valuable exposure to real-world systems troubleshooting beyond theoretical knowledge. Our remote work model allows for professional flexibility while maintaining integral team participation.
Alpine Business Consulting emphasizes transparency and reliability, providing clients with fixed-price engagements and actionable handover documentation. Senior staff carry out complex technical tasks, while interns support organization and project efficiency to ensure client independence and dependable daily financial reporting after project completion.
