Role Overview
We are seeking a National Project Engineer to join our Group Engineering team, playing a vital role in implementing our national capital compliance program. This program focuses on achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040, meeting seismic regulations, replacing expanded polystyrene (EPS), and reducing trade waste. The role prioritizes Environmental and Seismic compliance across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps addressing SBTi Net Zero 2040 goals, seismic compliance, EPS phase-out, risk mitigation, and trade waste management.
- Conduct feasibility studies to support Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and capital project approvals.
- Assist 10 manufacturing facilities with Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and build internal compliance frameworks, including reporting processes.
- Design detailed project plans for greenfield and brownfield projects ensuring minimal operational disruption.
Role Details
This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Candidates can be based in Auckland, Palmerston North, or Christchurch with expected travel to all 10 New Zealand manufacturing sites.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of an Engineering degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation disciplines is essential; a Project Management qualification is advantageous.
- Proven experience managing costs effectively within projects.
- Exposure to FMCG Industry 4.0 environments is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to guide teams through complex and changing landscapes.
