Role Overview
The Project Engineer is tasked with overseeing and managing construction projects to ensure their successful completion with safety, efficiency, and budget adherence. This position requires coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to effectively plan and execute project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination to guarantee timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to confirm alignment with design and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical challenges and streamline project processes.
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely supply and compliance with specifications.
- Track project progress, inspect quality of work, and identify risks or delays, applying proactive mitigation strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including reports, drawings, change orders, and RFIs for accurate progress tracking.
- Assist with cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting to oversee expenses and maintain cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits, approvals, and inspections, ensuring all building codes and regulations are met.
- Regularly communicate with clients, consultants, and project teams to update project status and address issues.
- Engage in project meetings, contribute technical expertise, and participate in problem-solving to support project success.
Experience and Eligibility
Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of professional work experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant role. Experience working in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region for 5 years is considered an advantage.
