Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous Purchasing Assistant to support the Overhead Crane and Hoist Sales team in our Edmonton branch. The role involves coordinating procurement activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, managing order processing, and ensuring timely delivery of parts and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Purchaser and local team to place and track orders ensuring prompt receipt of parts and equipment.
  • Generate work orders and handle purchase documentation.
  • Submit completed purchase orders and credit card receipts to the Office Administrator for processing stock transfers with the Calgary office.
  • Procure necessary products as required for operations.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse regarding all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Manage inventory stocking and timely recording of orders in the system.
  • Handle progress billing for major crane, hoist, welder, and induction equipment sales.
  • Prepare required logbooks associated with crane and hoist installations.
  • Review job costs and undertake additional assigned tasks.
