QA/QC Engineer

Overview

Parsons is hiring a QA/QC Materials Engineer for stormwater and infrastructure work in Abu Dhabi. This role sits within the Construction Supervision team and supports major works such as pump stations and utility networks. The focus is on making sure quality procedures are properly followed across site operations, with strong attention to materials compliance, inspections, testing, records, and coordination with contractors and supervision staff to deliver safe and high-standard project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the project Quality Management System and approved quality plans in coordination with the Resident Engineer and QA/QC Lead.
• Assess contractor submissions such as method statements, Inspection & Test Plans, and inspection requests, and arrange site inspections to confirm conformity with project requirements.
• Check material submissions, source approvals, mix designs, and compliance certificates, while ensuring traceability through delivery checks and test documentation.
• Oversee sampling and testing performed by contractors and third-party labs to confirm compliance with approved standards.
• Record, monitor, and close non-conformances by following up corrective and preventive actions.
• Keep quality documentation complete and organized for handover and reporting purposes.
• Prepare quality status updates and progress inputs for supervision reports.
• Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to apply QA/QC and HSE requirements consistently.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, MEP, or another equivalent engineering discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in QA/QC and materials management on infrastructure projects, ideally in stormwater or utilities.
• An ADM/DMT engineering license or approval is required.
• Good knowledge of construction specifications, industry standards, and quality documentation methods.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project reporting or records management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, or similar frameworks.
• Strong coordination and communication abilities for working with multi-disciplinary site teams.
• Prior experience in a construction supervision setting is an advantage.
