Recreation Experience Expert

Role Overview

The Recreation Experience Expert serves as a vital resource for all recreational activities offered at the property including pool, beach, entertainment zones, gym, and kids' activity centers. This position involves informing guests about available recreational amenities, motivating and organizing their participation in activities, and fostering a fun and relaxing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide detailed information about recreational facilities such as swimming pools, beaches, game rooms, gyms, and children’s activity centers.
• Encourage guest involvement by recruiting, registering, and coordinating participation in recreational activities.
• Maintain a safe, enjoyable atmosphere by promoting facility rules and regulations to ensure guest and staff welfare.
• Monitor recreational areas, responding appropriately to emergencies following local operational protocols.
• Operate cashier services for recreational facility-related sales and rentals, including equipment, activities, and retail.
• Assist during private group functions and events held at recreational venues.
• Identify and escalate unsafe situations to supervisors or managers promptly.
• Provide first aid support to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and uphold confidentiality and property security.
• Welcome and cater to all guests according to company standards, proactively anticipating and fulfilling their service needs.
• Demonstrate professional communication skills, including appropriate telephone etiquette.
• Build and sustain positive working relationships within the team to meet shared goals.
• Conduct visual inspections of tools and machinery to detect faults and maintain quality standards.
• Handle physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting objects up to 25 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance, maneuvering in various environments including heights, confined spaces, slippery or uneven surfaces.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification.
• First aid certification.
• Experience or certification related to recreation and physical training equipment.
• Compliance with any additional local or state agency certifications as applicable.

Preferred Attributes

• Previous prior experience in a similar role is not mandatory.
• Supervisory experience is not required.
