Role Overview

This full-time role is a remote-based Reporter position centered on delivering news and stories about tourism related to Destination One's areas of operation. The Reporter will be responsible for researching and crafting engaging content about local attractions, excursions, travel services, and relevant industry developments. Daily tasks include sourcing information from diverse channels, interviewing key stakeholders, writing news articles, revising content, and occasionally producing basic multimedia pieces. Collaboration with internal teams to ensure alignment with company goals, adherence to publishing deadlines, and upholding journalistic standards such as accuracy, clarity, and integrity is essential.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient reporting abilities including fact-checking, conducting interviews, and verifying sources.
• Strong communication skills with clear, concise, and compelling writing style.
• Experience in news writing coupled with an understanding of journalism ethics and storytelling methods.
• Familiarity with multimedia production tools (e.g., photo, audio, video) suited for digital media.
• Capable of working autonomously in a remote environment, managing multiple assignments, and meeting tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Greek or other European languages is advantageous.
• Comfortable using digital platforms, content management systems, and applying basic SEO best practices.
• Relevant educational background in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or related fields, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Interest or prior experience in travel or tourism reporting is a plus.
