Position Overview
The Sales Associate at Spencer's plays a vital role in delivering excellent guest service consistent with company standards. This role supports store management by driving sales, maintaining store presentation, performing pricing and signing tasks, managing POS transactions, and implementing loss prevention measures while adhering strictly to company policies and guidelines.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers an hourly wage ranging between 15 and 15.25 Canadian dollars, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include contest prize awards, access to an employee assistance program, and a 30% discount on merchandise. Eligibility for bonuses, awards, and benefits depends on meeting specific qualifications.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality guest service aligning with company hospitality standards.
- Support the store management team in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Carry out merchandising tasks including shelf stocking, signing, and pricing.
- Operate point of sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently.
- Implement loss prevention procedures to reduce shrinkage.
- Physically able to perform tasks such as ladder climbing and lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of standing and walking for up to 8 hours during shifts.
