Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute PCR assays, emphasizing digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) and quantitative PCR (qPCR).
- Develop and validate bioanalytical methods and conduct sample analysis for nucleic acid extraction and quantification to support CMC, preclinical, and clinical drug development under GxP standards.
- Prepare detailed worksheets and design assay runs autonomously.
- Analyze, interpret, and summarize assay data; conduct peer review of raw data.
- Prepare laboratory buffers and troubleshoot assay issues promptly.
- Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), plans, and reports delineating sample analyses.
- Manage lab inventory by ordering and forecasting supplies based on project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GxP guidelines for assays and timely deviation reporting.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology lab techniques and proficiency with analysis software.
- Experience with multiple nucleic acid-based techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, real-time PCR, digital droplet PCR, branched DNA assays, and nanostring technology.
- Proven capability to design, develop, and validate robust nucleic acid extraction methods from complex biological samples.
- Skillful in planning and executing efficient experimental designs.
- Familiarity with regulated laboratory environments and Good Documentation Practices.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and an effective communicator with strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to inspire and motivate colleagues to achieve high-quality results.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related discipline with a minimum of six years of relevant laboratory experience, or
- Master’s degree in a related field with at least four years of scientific laboratory experience, or
- PhD in the related disciplines with a minimum of two years of relevant laboratory practice.
