Senior Accountant - Client Onboarding

The employer is a Dubai-based business advisory firm that supports companies with accounting, tax, compliance, and corporate services.

Role Overview

This full-time Dubai position is focused on onboarding new clients, building efficient accounting setups, and ensuring a seamless transition into ongoing finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end client onboarding by learning each client’s business model, assessing current accounting practices, and putting effective workflows in place.
• Serve as the main point of contact between clients and the internal accounting function, making sure handovers run smoothly, teams are trained, issues are resolved, and work quality remains high.
• Support reviews related to UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, including assessments, reconciliations, and compliance with local regulatory obligations.
• Examine financial statements and management reports, verify IFRS alignment, and identify opportunities to improve processes and introduce automation.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related subject is required. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or CMA will be considered an advantage.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE, along with solid knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax rules.

Practical exposure to Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally ERP/Prime, and advanced Microsoft Excel is expected.

The role also calls for strong client-facing ability, communication skills, analytical thinking, and a problem-solving mindset, particularly in client onboarding and process setup.
