Role Overview
This position is based in either Mountain View or San Francisco and operates on a hybrid model, combining remote work with onsite presence as needed by business requirements. The role focuses on leading strategic communications for LinkedIn’s flagship career and profile products, involving the creation and management of ongoing PR campaigns that highlight how users develop their professional identities and find new opportunities via LinkedIn.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and lead the public relations strategy targeting consumers for major career and profile product offerings.
- Develop and execute proactive, creative communications plans that reinforce narratives about professional development and profile management between key announcements.
- Collaborate daily with product teams to track launches, align communications strategies, and ensure messaging consistency.
- Manage and coordinate product announcements, feature releases, and integrated PR efforts across departments.
- Support international teams by creating global communication playbooks that provide messaging frameworks and story ideas.
- Work closely with marketing and creator teams to harmonize campaigns for maximum reach and impact leveraging emerging media platforms.
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset by exploring and applying AI tools to enhance productivity and storytelling capabilities.
- Identify and pitch compelling story opportunities linked to product initiatives that resonate with diverse audiences, including job seekers and content creators.
- Measure and analyze communication program success, collaborating with analytics teams to report outcomes effectively.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum seven years of experience in public relations or external communications roles.
- Exceptional skills in writing, storytelling, problem solving, critical thinking, media engagement, and teamwork.
- Solid and well-established relationships with media professionals.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills tailored to consumer and social media audiences.
- Strong research capabilities with a passion for tracking industry news and trends.
- Excellent organizational aptitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comprehensive understanding of PR planning, execution, and project management.
- Ability to excel in fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-sensitive environments.
- Affinity for social media and AI technologies coupled with adaptability to rapid change.
- Capacity to build and sustain relationships across various organizational levels with integrity and discretion.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a salary range between 126000 and 198000 annually, with total compensation including potential bonuses, stock options, and other benefits. Compensation is determined based on individual qualifications, experience, certifications, and work location, with variations based on local labor costs.
