Role Overview
Greenstone Financial Services Canada is looking for a Senior Data Analyst with strong analytical skills and a business-oriented mindset to drive data-backed decisions within Life Insurance operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Lead Management, this position focuses on generating insights that enhance sales performance, customer retention, and support market growth through sharing operational expertise and best practices. The role relies on analytics and automation to boost business results, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance sales outcomes by analyzing performance metrics, boosting lead conversion rates, agent efficiency, and overall sales effectiveness.
- Create and continuously update dashboards, scorecards, and reports to track vital sales data and assist in forecasting and sales strategy planning.
- Identify opportunities for process automation related to reporting and business operations.
- Examine customer and policyholder data post-sale to determine factors influencing retention, persistency, and satisfaction.
- Monitor key metrics like retention rates, service quality, and overall customer experience, collaborating with Care & Support teams to identify areas for improvement.
- Drive the formulation and evaluation of initiatives aimed at improving customer retention and lifetime value.
- Assist growth into new markets by documenting and transferring critical operational, sales, lead management, and customer support knowledge gained from current operations.
- Work alongside stakeholders to standardize best practices, reporting methods, and key performance insights for future market application.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge bases, documentation, and reporting standards to facilitate successful market entries.
- Replicate effective sales and retention strategies across different markets and coordinate with various teams to ensure operational readiness during expansion programs.
- Track and report on progress and learnings related to market launch initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related disciplines.
- A minimum of three years in data analytics, business intelligence, or comparable roles.
- Preferred experience within Life Insurance, Financial Services, or similarly regulated sectors.
Technical Proficiencies
- Advanced skills in SQL, especially Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL).
- Experience using Python for analytical purposes, reporting, and automation.
- Proficiency in visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Familiarity with Databricks and contemporary analytics platforms.
- Understanding of AI/Machine Learning concepts and predictive analytics techniques.
- Competence in building automated dashboards, reports, and ETL workflows.
- High-level expertise with Microsoft Excel.
