Senior Engineer

Job Overview

The Senior Engineer will oversee daily inspections to verify the quality of onsite work, collaborate closely with site personnel to continuously improve processes ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery, meeting client expectations and industry benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Lead site engineers and assist the Site Agent and supervisors in managing daily site operations.
• Support exemplary health, safety, environmental, and quality standards alongside the Site Agent.
• Maintain quality control by understanding project specifications and compliance with Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) requirements.
• Provide technical engineering support to resolve problems and answer queries promptly.
• Take initiative in addressing unexpected technical challenges and other site-related issues.
• Ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control to guarantee precise construction execution.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Minimum five years' experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the water sector.
• Proficient in task planning and effective delegation to the engineering team.
• Possession of a valid CSCS/CSR card.
• Strong understanding of current building regulations, legislation, and health & safety standards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Holder of a full UK manual driving license.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent detail orientation, planning capabilities, and organizational skills.
