Role Overview and Creative Process

As a Senior Graphic Designer at Acrylicize, you will be involved in every stage of project execution, from initial concept through final delivery. Collaborating closely with the Design Team, Production Team, and fabrication partners, this role requires a conceptual thinker who confidently communicates and realizes ideas across a variety of environments. Experience in illustration and environmental graphic design is essential, with a portfolio showcasing projects and creative process examples.

Designers are encouraged to explore and innovate freely within client deadlines, following our structured creative phases:

• Discover – Understanding client brief, environment, and inspirations.
• Design – Developing initial loose, exploratory ideas ('idea cards') based on themes.
• Develop – Refining selected concepts into detailed, production-ready designs focused on materiality.
• Detail – Production team handles technical specifics.
• Deliver – Project management team ensures final installation.

Typical Weekly Activities

• Visiting project sites to understand space and connect with clients.
• Supporting Lead Designers or Design Directors on 2-3 projects concurrently, from single artworks to complex multi-artwork schemes.
• Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to review and evolve design concepts.
• Presenting ideas and final designs to clients and decision-makers.
• Conducting research, sketching conceptual ideas, and preparing designs for production handoff.
• Allocating half a day monthly for creative inspiration such as attending galleries or other artistic pursuits ('Creative Cuisine').
• Mentoring junior team members on projects.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
• Strong critical thinking and independent work capabilities.
• Ability to meet demanding deadlines and maintain high-quality output consistently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills aligned with studio standards.
• Passion for mentoring juniors and continual learning.
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
• Committed to quality and collaborative teamwork.
• Receptive to feedback and dedicated to improving the studio's work quality.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
