About the Role at Starface

Starface is looking for a Senior Logistics and Operations Associate to manage critical aspects of our logistics and operational activities. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations & Logistics, the chosen candidate will oversee key operational workflows including outbound logistics, retailer order fulfillment, and distribution center management to ensure smooth product movement from third-party warehouses to customers and retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for distribution center partners, focusing on outbound shipments to retailers
  • Guarantee timely fulfillment of orders across assigned retail partners and sales channels with excellent service quality
  • Coordinate with Finance to confirm compliance with inventory, warehouse, fulfillment, and transportation procedures and costs
  • Travel twice annually to participate in physical inventory audits at distribution centers
  • Maintain and update SOPs, vendor guidelines, routing guides, and other operational documents
  • Assist in enhancing operational best practices, tools, and processes within outbound logistics
  • Analyze operational data to spot trends, evaluate performance, and support KPI tracking, including retailer chargebacks and claims
  • Drive continuous process improvements at 3PL warehouses to boost efficiency, reduce expenses, and enhance delivery punctuality
  • Collaborate across departments to optimize processes and operational outcomes
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for system updates and improvements
  • Gain knowledge of inbound logistics and provide backup support as needed
  • Manage retailer chargebacks including reviewing disputes, identifying root causes, resolving discrepancies internally, and helping prevent recurrence
  • Examine shipping and transaction data to verify claims and identify improvement opportunities
  • Maintain documentation that supports consistent operations while strengthening relationships with retailers and vendors

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or fulfillment within the CPG industry, covering ecommerce and/or brick-and-mortar retail
  • Hands-on experience with 3PL warehouses, distribution centers, and B2B order management
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations including inventory control, warehouse functions, freight logistics, and retailer fulfillment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite advantageous), warehouse management platforms, and advanced Excel capabilities
  • Data-oriented, comfortable with analyzing operational metrics to identify patterns, troubleshoot issues, and enhance processes
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and able to independently manage priorities in a dynamic, fully remote work environment
  • Skilled at issue analysis, root cause identification, and deploying effective preventative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and experience fostering strong partnerships with internal teams, retailers, warehouses, and external collaborators
  • Aptitude for thriving in fast-evolving environments with shifting priorities

  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% for activities including inventory counts, team meetings, and special projects
