Role Overview
The position is for a full-time Service Technician based onsite in Singapore. The technician is responsible for performing routine elevator maintenance and repairs, including scheduled inspections, replacing parts, and conducting safety assessments. Daily duties encompass diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, troubleshooting issues, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accurate documentation.
The role requires field visits across various customer locations, effective communication with clients and internal teams, and strict adherence to company and regulatory safety protocols. The technician will balance independent work with teamwork to ensure optimal elevator performance and safety.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated ability in maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical elevator systems, including scheduled and corrective maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting expertise to detect faults, perform root cause analysis, and apply technical fixes.
- Experience providing field service at diverse customer sites and managing multiple locations.
- Capable of delivering clear customer communication and managing client relationships professionally.
- Hands-on capability with maintenance tools, equipment, and safety procedures relevant to elevator or similar industrial systems.
- Possession of relevant technical certifications such as in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering (e.g., ITE diploma or equivalent).
- Awareness of the safety regulations and standards pertaining to elevator systems in Singapore.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, service manuals, and preparing comprehensive service reports.
- Acceptance of occasional overtime work and readiness to be on call for emergency repairs.
- Prior experience in elevator or building services maintenance is advantageous, though motivated early-career candidates are encouraged to apply.
