Solution Designer

Job Overview

This is a six-month daily rate contract opportunity for a Solutions Designer possessing extensive presales or solution design expertise with Microsoft technologies, particularly Azure cloud. You will join an award-winning organization leading Azure cloud initiatives across Australasia and collaborate closely with clients and internal teams.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead high-level solution architecture and presales engagements with clients.
• Respond effectively to customer information requests, plan conceptual solution presentations, and provide technical guidance in meetings.
• Design and develop tailored solutions to meet customer needs, including preparation of proposals and Statements of Work (SoW).
• Create cost models, pricing, and structure solution elements financially.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand challenges and conceptualize appropriate technical solutions collaboratively.
• Price deals aligning with the technical scope, milestones, and RFx response templates.
• Review design and 'As Built' documentation to ensure alignment with high-level solutions.
• Participate in managing the RFx tender and response processes as part of the team.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a rare blend of technical expertise in Azure cloud coupled with a strong understanding of business requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Rich experience in solution design, architecture, client interaction, and hands-on delivery within Azure cloud and DevOps environments.
• Presales experience in Azure/cloud environments is preferred, with comfort in delivering technical presentations.
• Committed to ongoing learning, upskilling, mentoring, and coaching.
• Solid understanding of Azure cloud components including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Azure DevOps, Automation, M365, modern workplace technologies such as AVD and Teams, modern networking, cloud networking, data, AI, IoT on Azure, Azure Sentinel, Defender products, and LAW.
