Team Overview
The Fulfillment vertical focuses on procurement from farms to retailers, ensuring fair pricing for farmers and quality deliveries to retailers. Our distributor partners handle last-mile distribution from Micro Distribution Centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supply planning and inventory to achieve a 100% fill rate for defined SKUs, monitor stock levels to minimize wastage, and enhance farmer partner satisfaction (NPS).
- Establish and oversee operations at collection centers, ensuring smooth supply processes.
- Conduct cost analysis and track market price trends to optimize sourcing strategies, improving margins and reducing supply side costs.
- Handle vendor identification, onboarding, pricing negotiations, reconciliations, credit and payment processes, and maintain strong vendor relationships to improve loyalty.
- Recruit and lead vendor managers and procurement teams, providing vision and mentorship for performance enhancement.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including Quality, Category, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to drive operational excellence.
Candidate Profile
- 4 to 9 years of sourcing and vendor management experience, specifically handling fruits and vegetables in the Tamil Nadu region.
- Preferably a graduate or postgraduate from Tier 2 or 3 academic institutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly self-driven, adaptable, and quick to respond to evolving business needs.
- Fluency in the local Tamil language is essential.
