About the Role
The Stakeholder Manager plays a vital role in facilitating, monitoring, and governing stakeholder interactions across multiple infrastructure and utility projects. Key responsibilities include managing approvals, permits, NOCs, and stakeholder commitments while ensuring adherence to governance and engagement procedures. This position requires collaboration with project teams, consultants, local development committees (LDCs), architects on record (AORs), contractors, service providers, and internal divisions to effectively support infrastructure delivery encompassing power, water, wastewater, gas, telecommunications, and Fire & Life Safety (FLS) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities of stakeholders including approvals, permits, NOCs, and technical reviews linked to infrastructure and utility projects.
- Maintain and update various governance documents such as stakeholder trackers, approval registers, and action logs.
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, presentations, and record Minutes of Meetings (MoMs).
- Organize meetings, workshops, and engagement sessions with stakeholders.
- Track stakeholder commitments and ensure timely completion of all required actions.
- Liaise with project personnel, consultants, LDCs, AORs, contractors, and service providers to aid project progress.
- Manage stakeholder engagements connected to sectors like power, water, wastewater, gas, telecom, and FLS.
- Identify and escalate risks, delays, and coordination challenges concerning stakeholders through proper management channels.
- Take full ownership and accountability for assigned stakeholder tasks and deliverables.
- Proactively manage and prioritize the workload independently, ensuring successful resolution of stakeholder actions.
- Ensure full compliance with defined governance workflows, processes, and escalation mechanisms.
- Support initiatives to raise stakeholder awareness about approval requirements and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of municipality regulations, permitting requirements, and relevant regulatory approvals tied to infrastructure development.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in stakeholder management, infrastructure execution, utility coordination, project governance, or project coordination roles.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating efforts among multiple consultants, contractors, local development committees, architects, and other project stakeholders.
- Strong communication, reporting, coordination, and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Core expertise in stakeholder coordination, governance compliance, approvals and permits coordination, infrastructure and utilities management, municipal and regulatory processes, reporting and documentation, risk identification and escalation, action tracking and follow-up, communication and relationship management, ownership, accountability, and a self-driven mindset.
