About the Role
At PSA Singapore, our ICT division thrives on innovation and teamwork, continuously supporting the world's largest transhipment port's operations. We are dedicated to designing and delivering robust, reliable systems that cater to our current business needs and the future automated mega port at Tuas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage products and solutions that assist business users and customers.
- Collaborate with users, vendors, and project managers to understand processes and pain points.
- Create detailed technical specifications for system development.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using technologies such as Java, C, and C++.
- Provide 24x7 system support as part of a team environment.
Requirements
- A degree in Computing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong ability to work independently, meet challenging targets, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, and Java.
- Experience with relational databases and scripting, including Oracle and SQL.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Detail-oriented, conscientious, and capable of multitasking efficiently.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with frameworks like Angular and Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Cloud Foundry or comparable technologies.
- Knowledge and application of Agile methodologies like Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum.
- Understanding of software development best practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI).
