About the Role

Join a prominent insurance firm in London as a Technical Data Analyst on a long-term, hybrid model contract. The position focuses on addressing complex data transformations rather than conventional Management Information or reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and analyze data within multifaceted source systems.
• Map data flows and comprehend comprehensive data lineage from origination to consumption.
• Collaborate with business units to elicit and clarify data requirements.
• Convert business demands into technical data-centric solutions.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, and Product teams to design and enhance data platforms.
• Support efforts related to data modelling, warehousing, and platform development.
• Conduct source system analyses and evaluate data quality issues.
• Contribute to the architecture and development of scalable enterprise data solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Practical experience with Snowflake and dbt (data build tool).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and implementation.
• Strong skills in data modelling and data mapping techniques.
• Experience analyzing source systems and understanding data lineage intricacies.
• Proven ability to work effectively alongside Data Engineers and Data Architects.
• Effective stakeholder management and business analysis capabilities.
• Prior exposure to the insurance sector is highly advantageous.
