Role overview
This role focuses on growing business for specialized electronic solutions across RF and microwave components, display technologies, and power supply products. It blends engineering know-how with consultative selling to understand client needs, suggest the right solutions, manage opportunities end to end, and nurture long-term partnerships with OEMs, system integrators, defence labs, PSUs, defence contract manufacturers, medical equipment makers, telecom companies, R&D teams, and industrial customers.
The position is based in Bengaluru, with travel required as needed across India.
Sales and business development
- Find and pursue new opportunities across telecom, aerospace, defence, automotive, industrial automation, medical, semiconductor, and R&D markets.
- Create leads through field visits, professional networking, referrals, exhibitions, and outbound prospecting.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales funnel that supports revenue goals.
- Prepare account strategies for high-priority customers.
Technical consultation
- Study customer use cases and recommend products or solutions that match their requirements.
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
- Review technical needs, drawings, BOMs, and specifications from customers.
- Work with application engineers or OEM principals to shape customised solutions.
Product coverage
RF and microwave products: amplifiers, antennas, cables and connectors, attenuators, filters, couplers, RF test and measurement accessories, and microwave modules and subsystems.
Displays: TFT, LCD, OLED displays, touch panels, industrial monitors, embedded display solutions, and sunlight-readable or rugged displays.
Power supplies: AC-DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, adapters, chargers, DIN rail supplies, medical and industrial SMPS, and battery backup or UPS-related products.
Sales operations
- Create techno-commercial quotations.
- Handle pricing discussions, commercial terms, and contract negotiations.
- Track quotations and work toward order closure.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth order execution.
- Keep CRM data, forecasts, and visit reports up to date.
Customer relationship management
- Develop working relationships with engineering, procurement, production, and management stakeholders.
- Support after-sales coordination and help resolve issues.
- Encourage repeat business and identify cross-sell opportunities.
Market intelligence
- Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, and broader market movements.
- Share market and customer feedback with leadership and principals.
Qualifications
A diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunication, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
Relevant experience of 2 to 8 years in technical sales, field sales, or inside sales involving electronics components, RF, displays, or power products is required.
Skills and capabilities
The job calls for working knowledge of RF concepts such as frequency, gain, power, VSWR, and impedance, along with familiarity with display interfaces like HDMI, LVDS, MIPI, SPI, and touch integration. It also requires understanding of power supply parameters including voltage, current, efficiency, and protection features.
You should be comfortable reading datasheets, suggesting alternatives, prospecting for leads, presenting solutions, negotiating deals, and managing key accounts. Working knowledge of CRM or ERP tools, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is important, as are strong communication, self-motivation, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Preferred exposure
Background in defence and aerospace, telecom, embedded systems, industrial automation, medical electronics, or semiconductor/EMS/OEM sales will be an advantage.
