About Moove AV

Moove AV specializes in operating advanced infrastructure crucial to autonomous transportation, serving as a key partner to industry leaders like Waymo. The company manages sophisticated autonomous vehicle depots where excellence in uptime, precision, and, above all, safety define success.

Role Overview

This strategic position is responsible for managing and standardizing Moove’s global validation driver training program to ensure every driver across all markets is trained and certified to uniform, rigorous safety and quality standards. The role is critical to fostering an organizational culture focused on safety from the outset and creating sustainable training systems that scale as new markets launch.

The Training Program Lead will design and direct the complete training lifecycle—from curriculum development and delivery oversight to certification and audits—impacting both validation drivers and supervisory personnel. Certification of in-market trainers and initial teams is a key responsibility, ensuring consistency and excellence before market launches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously refine training quality and certification metrics, monitoring cross-market results to maintain high standards.
  • Manage and evolve curricula, assessments, and certification thresholds with feedback mechanisms for ongoing program enhancements.
  • Enforce uncompromising safety norms for all driving activities regardless of operational pressures.
  • Conduct audits of local training initiatives working in close cooperation with Safety and Operations departments to identify and address gaps.
  • Develop onboarding programs for new in-market leaders covering systems and KPI management to ensure smooth operational leadership.
  • Empower local teams to adapt training content to their market specifics and incorporate their findings into global standards.
  • Deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions personally and certify inaugural market teams to maintain closeness to operational realities.
  • Plan training capacity, sequence activities, and manage schedules to meet deployment timelines coordinated with various business functions.
  • Align training plans with Safety, Workforce Planning, Fleet Operations, and Local Operations against hiring and deployment needs.
  • Proactively identify risks and bottlenecks in training rollouts, providing escalation and resource support to local teams.
  • Establish centralized reporting frameworks and dashboards to ensure transparent tracking of certification progress and outcomes.
  • Define standards for training facilities, vehicle equipment, and hardware infrastructure and oversee readiness and procurement efforts ahead of market launches.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree mandatory; program management credentials such as PMI-PgMP, PMP, or CPTM are preferred or equivalent proven experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in autonomous vehicle operations or training, with documented success running or scaling training programs.
  • A systems-oriented thinker who can manage dependencies, anticipate risks, and drive cross-functional alignment without direct authority, while maintaining training delivery excellence.
  • Domain expertise in validation driver training, including coaching and standardization, with familiarity of AV operational protocols and data management.
  • A strong safety ethic demonstrated through consistent prioritization of safe practices amidst operational demands.
  • Skilled in curriculum design and capable of delivering training sessions personally when required.
  • Keen auditing skills to objectively evaluate trainer performance and program effectiveness.
  • Proactive in driving improvements and willing to challenge existing practices to enhance quality and effectiveness.
  • Willing to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally to conduct training, audits, and oversight.

Work Environment

This position reports to the Head of Validation Operations and collaborates closely with central Training & Development as well as leaders across Safety, Fleet Operations, and Market Launch teams.
